The College comprises of Kasimu Kofar Bai CONSKAT Satellite Campus Katsina and Nana Babajo CONSKAT Satellite Campus Malumfashi. Kasimu Kofar Bai CONSKAT Satellite Campus Katsina was established in the year 1956 through the instrument of the northern Regional House of Assembly as a training annex to the Katsina Native Authority General Hospital.
As one of the biggest and fully equipped hospital by the colonial
administration, the school excelled in the training on both Nurses and Midwives
for the provision of health care in the then Northern Region. This continued up
to the creation of states in 1967 when the various states established their own
schools of Nursing and Midwifery.
The two schools of Nursing and that of Midwifery were based at Katsina
and headed by principals, until in 1987 when they were merged into one i.e.
School of Nursing and Midwifery Katsina - for administrative convenience.
The school continues to offer Nursing and Midwifery programmes (Basic and Post basic). In the year 2006, proposal was made to transfer and establish school of midwifery at Malumfashi at the former ABU Teaching Hospital. The Hospital was renovated, the school was built with all the necessary infrastructure and this made it possible for the phase I movement to Malumfashi in March 2007, and final movement in November 2007.
